Why Do We Create Bespoke Jewellery?
We have been creating bespoke jewellery since 1994. We have always sought to keep pace with current trends while combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. This allows us to offer our customers designs created using specialist 3D software and to fulfil even the most demanding wishes. It also gives you a unique opportunity to become a co-creator of your own jewellery.
We believe in an individual approach, personal contact and creating each piece together with the customer through jewellery modelling. Bespoke production is closer to our hearts than mass production, giving us greater freedom to bring creativity and originality to every piece.
How Does the Entire Bespoke Jewellery-Making Process Work?
1. Consultation
We begin by arranging a personal consultation at one of our jewellery studios in Prague’s Karlín district or Ústí nad Orlicí. Alternatively, we can meet via an online video call.
Do you already have a specific idea or an inspirational image, or are you simply looking for inspiration? We will show you samples and examples from our jewellery gallery. Using 3D software, we can adapt and transform these designs to suit your wishes or create a ring entirely according to your own vision.
Much of the process can also take place online. We will send you designs for consultation and, subsequently, for final approval.
2. Budget
The gemstones used have the greatest influence on the final price of a piece of jewellery. During your consultation, we will explain all the available options and show you the different ways in which the stones can be set.
For engagement rings, we most commonly use natural diamonds, laboratory-grown diamonds, moissanites and other natural gemstones.
Based on your budget, we will select a suitable gemstone and begin modelling the jewellery. The entire design process is free of charge; you only pay for the finished piece. Prices for bespoke rings start at CZK 17,000.
3. Specialist 3D Jewellery Software
Using specialist 3D jewellery software, we will design the band, setting and style of the stone setting together. We will show you different gemstone shapes and sizes and let you choose the colour of the precious metal. Together, we will select the most suitable shape, size, number and colour of gemstones, as these determine the final appearance of the jewellery.
To give you an even clearer idea of the result, we can also show you a visualisation of the ring on a hand. We will guide you through the entire modelling process, and you will be able to view the final jewellery design from every angle.
4. Gemstone
The diamond is the traditional gemstone used in engagement rings. It represents lasting value and symbolises love while also serving as an investment.
At our jewellery studio, we set both natural and laboratory-grown gemstones into jewellery. A laboratory-grown diamond offers an alternative to a natural diamond and has exactly the same optical, physical and chemical properties. There are two principal differences: its origin and price.
Another laboratory-grown gemstone is moissanite. It is slightly softer than a diamond, with a hardness of 9.25 compared with a diamond’s hardness of 10. Nevertheless, it is still exceptionally hard, which means it will not become damaged or lose its sparkle in the way that cubic zirconia, with a hardness of 7, often does in mass-produced jewellery.
Moissanites display even more fire and rainbow-coloured reflections than diamonds. They can also cost up to 50% less than natural diamonds, allowing us to create an affordable piece of jewellery featuring a large central gemstone. Read more about moissanites here.
These three white gemstones are the most popular choices for engagement jewellery. You can also select from other coloured natural gemstones, including aquamarines, emeralds, rubies, garnets, sapphires, moonstones and many others.

5. Choosing the Precious Metal
We create bespoke engagement rings in white, yellow and rose gold. Although 14-carat gold is the most common choice in the Czech Republic, we will also be delighted to create your jewellery in 18-carat gold.
If you would prefer the finest white precious metal, often described as the queen of metals, we can create your engagement ring in platinum.
6. Design Approval and Production
Once we have modelled the jewellery using 3D software, selected the gemstones and precious metal, determined the ring size and prepared an initial quotation, we will arrange payment of a deposit. This is usually half of the agreed price.
The production process consists of several stages, which are tailored to the individual design. First, the modelled piece is printed in a special wax using a 3D printer. It is then encased in a plaster mould, which is heated so that the wax melts and evaporates. This casting technique is known as the lost-wax method.
Molten precious metal is then injected under high pressure into the prepared mould. This creates an unfinished piece, which the jeweller must shape and polish by hand. The jewellery is then passed to a specialist stone setter, a jeweller who focuses exclusively on setting gemstones.
We set every gemstone into our jewellery by hand, as this is the only way we can ensure it remains securely in place. The finishing process also includes applying the maker’s mark, fineness mark and official hallmark at the Assay Office. White-gold jewellery is also rhodium-plated.
7. Collection or Delivery
Creating a bespoke engagement ring takes approximately four to six weeks, depending on the complexity of the design. You will receive the finished jewellery in an elegant presentation box together with a certificate of authenticity for the gemstones.
Diamonds weighing more than 0.30 carats also come with a certificate from an international gemmological laboratory. You can confirm that the diamond matches its certificate by checking the laser-inscribed number on the girdle of the stone against the number shown on the certificate. This gives you complete confidence that the certificate belongs to your diamond.
